Plan a Visit
Wherever you are on life's journey — questioning, searching, or just curious — you are welcome here. Come as you are.
Your First Sunday
When
About one hour. Coffee hour follows in Pilgrim Hall — a great time to meet people.
Where
Wilmette, IL 60091. Free parking on surrounding streets and in the lot behind the church.
What to Wear
Literally. No dress code, no expectations. Jeans are perfectly welcome.
With Kids
Children are welcome in worship. A nursery is available for infants and toddlers. Kids participate in the first part of the service, then head to children's programming.
Stay Connected
Let us know you stopped by. We'll follow up with a warm welcome — no pressure, no sales pitch.
Do I need to be a member to attend?
Not at all. Everyone is welcome at every service, no strings attached.
Is FCCW welcoming to LGBTQ+ people?
Yes, fully. FCCW is an Open & Affirming congregation — that means everyone is explicitly and intentionally welcome, including LGBTQ+ individuals and families.
What does the service look like?
About one hour. We sing, we hear scripture, Rev. Herbig preaches (thoughtfully — this is not a hellfire situation), we share a moment of prayer, and we go in peace. First Sunday of each month includes open communion — all are welcome at the table.
What about my kids?
Kids are welcome in the sanctuary. There is a nursery for infants and toddlers. Older children participate in the opening of worship, then head to their own programming.
Is parking available?
Yes. Street parking on surrounding streets is free. There is also a small lot behind the church.
What if I'm not sure I believe in God?
You're in good company. FCCW is a congregation of seekers, questioners, and doubters as much as believers. Come as you are.
Sunday worship is livestreamed on YouTube at 10:00 AM. Past services are available to watch anytime.
